Miriam L. Alinikoff

Miriam L. Alinikoff has extensive experience in the litigation of complex civil matters, internal investigations, regulatory enforcement proceedings, and in the defense of white collar and securities enforcement matters. She has represented Special Committees of boards of directors in connection with internal investigations, shareholder demands and derivative actions; the bankruptcy trustees for Lehman Brothers Inc. and MF Global Inc. in a variety of adversary proceedings; and various individuals in LIBOR and forex-related cross-border investigations and prosecutions.

Ms. Alinikoff often represents individuals and companies in connection with investigations and proceedings by the U.S. Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. She also has substantial experience in high-profile business litigation involving commercial, contract, partnership and employment issues, as well as securities and health care fraud.

Ms. Alinikoff clerked for the Hon. Nina Gershon of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and was previously a litigator at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP. She received her law degree from Hofstra University (Articles Editor, Labor and Employment Law Journal, Dean’s Scholar), where she was a research assistant to Professor Eric Lane, and her undergraduate degree from Hunter College. She has been recognized by New York Super Lawyers® and named one of the top lawyers under 40 by Benchmark Litigation.
