We are very pleased to announce that Seth L. Levine has been elected President of the Federal Bar Foundation. The Federal Bar Foundation is the charitable foundation associated with the Federal Bar Council, and it is dedicated to facilitating and improving the administration of justice and the understanding and study of law. The Foundation supports the work of the Federal Bar Council, as well as various law-related projects including:
- Supporting the Justice Resource Center, which brings close to 1,000 students from underserved school districts into federal courthouses each year;
- Supporting the Immigrant Justice Corps, which provides critical legal services to traditionally underserved and at-risk populations;
- Providing needs-based grants to interns at the U.S. Attorney’s Offices in EDNY and SDNY and, in 2022, the Federal Defenders Office and;
- Supporting Civics Education activities through the Justice For All Courts and the Community Initiative through the Robert A. Katzmann Civics Education Grant
Mr. Levine has long been an active member of the Federal Bar Council, including serving on the Executive Committee of the Federal Bar Council, as a Trustee of the Federal Bar Foundation and the Federal Criminal Practice Committee.
