Levine Lee LLP congratulates our departing partner Miriam L. Alinikoff on her appointment as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida in the Miami office. Ms. Alinikoff was hired as the firm’s first employee in 2011 as a junior associate. In 2014, she left to serve as a judicial law clerk in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and rejoined the firm at the conclusion of her clerkship. In 2018, Ms. Alinikoff became a partner of the firm. Over the course of her career, Ms. Alinikoff has worked on many of the firm’s most prominent cases, handling white collar and securities enforcement defense, internal corporate investigations and complex civil litigation matters, including on behalf of: the bankruptcy trustee for Lehman Brothers Inc.; Special Committees of the Board of Xerox Corporation; Deutsche Bank trader Gavin Black in connection with the LIBOR-fixing investigation; ConvergEx officer Anthony Blumberg, among many other matters.
“Mimi’s contributions to the firm from its inception have been outstanding, and we are proud that she, like many Levine Lee alumni, is continuing in the firm’s tradition of public service,” said Ken Lee. “We will miss her professionally and personally, and I know she will serve the Southern District of Florida with great distinction,” said Seth Levine.
In addition to Ms. Alinikoff, alumni of the firm currently serving in public service include: Carolyn Pokorny, former Deputy Chief of Staff and Counselor to the Attorney General of the United States, and now Inspector General of the Metropolitan Transit Authority; the Hon. Tracy Dayton, Judge of the Connecticut Superior Court; Lara Fogel, Chief, Government and Healthcare Fraud Unit of the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office; and David Lizmi, Assistant United States Attorney, Eastern District of New York.
